Time to Dream

This week, Pastor Levi Marychurch’s message “Time to Dream” focuses on the dreams of Abraham and his ancestors in Genesis 12. Levi describes the dreams that Abraham had for his people and how he followed God without hesitation despite the uncertainty. Levi also explains how our dreams are the fuel for our ministry and how God can use those dreams for his glory.

 We are often so concerned about the details of the future, that we forget the value of taking the first step. By following the example of Abraham's life, we must take that first step and trust God to lead us the rest of the way.

Living with His Presence & Creating Space for His Presence

Pastors Levi and Nadia Marychurch team up this week to bring us the final installment of our study on connecting with the presence of God and what we can learn from it. Levi shares insight on what it really means to be a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and suggests ways we can cultivate more of God’s presence in our lives. Nadia follows up with seven practical tips for how we can create a space for God in our lives and homes (2 Kings 4:8-10). 

Emerging from His Presence

In this week's message entitled, “Emerging from His presence” Pastor Levi Marychurch talks about the incredible experience of meeting with God’s presence. He uses the Transfiguration of Jesus (Luke 9:28-36) as an example of how the Holy Spirit renews and refreshes us. When we have a real and raw encounter with the Holy Spirit, it is life changing. However, after such an experience, it can be difficult to know what the next step may be. Levi teaches us how to soak in these encounters without letting them fade into the events of our daily life.

The Test of the Wilderness

This week, Pastor Nadia Marychurch presents three important lessons we can learn from the testing of Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). She speaks about the wilderness as a theme that can be seen throughout the Bible, and how it is in the wilderness that we encounter tests of spirit, trust, and worship. With strong teaching and thought-provoking questions for personal reflection, Nadia points us toward Jesus - our rock in the wilderness.

The Secret Place

At a time when many regions are locked down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pastor Levi Marychurch suggests that one place we can go, outside of work and home, is The Secret Place (Matthew 6:6). From Levi’s biblical and personal examples, we see that The Secret Place is a private, personal, powerful place of solitude where we can purposefully cultivate a relationship with God. It is in this place that intimacy with God is forged, fruit is formed in our lives, and where the anointing falls.

Walk Above the Waves

We usher in the new year with a message from Pastor Nadia Marychurch to inspire hope and faith in 2021. Nadia uses the account of Jesus walking on water (Matthew 14:22-33) to reassure us that Christ will meet us in the midst of any waves we face and help us walk above them. She explains what our role looks like as we surrender, obey, and trust in God, and points us toward the powerful testimony that can result.

The Lingering Gift

Pastor Levi Marychurch commences Liberté City’s Chapel Service series with a message entitled The Lingering Gift. Levi opens with a visual of the Christmas tree – while it may have a star at the top, there’s a Son at the bottom! The Lord has given us this lingering gift, and it’s personalized just for you. That gift may come in the form of easing our burdens. It may also come in our release of the control over our own lives through his Lordship. And lastly, it’s recognizing the benevolence of God as a VERY good God.

The Simple Gift

In preparation for Christmas, Pastor Levi Marychurch opens with Matthew 1 and the simple promise of Jesus Christ and that he’ll save the wold from sin. The message of Christ, and that of Christmas, is simple; we had a relationship with God, but we were separated from God. But God has always had a plan to bring us back together with him.

Worst Case Scenario - Part 4

This week, Liberté City’s Mike Humphrey and Caleb Groeneweg conclude our Worst Case Scenario series. Using the early life of David (1 Samuel 17) as an example, Mike illustrates how we, too, can lean into God when we face trouble. We can stand on the promises He has given us, and allow Him to sustain us. Mike urges all of us to seek the Lord to get fresh revelation of the unique call and promises He has for our lives through prayer and wise counsel.

Caleb uses the story of Elisha and the King of Aram (2 Kings 6:8) to encourage us to inject a Heavenly perspective into our earthly situations. He gives us practical steps to do so, including: turning to Jesus first when we feel heavy burdens surrounding us; being open to a fresh perspective and new way of thinking; and fixing our eyes on where we want to go.

Think Funky, Live Junky. Think Healthy, Live Wealthy: Worst Case Scenario - Part 3

Pastor Nadia Marychurch continues our Worst Case Scenario series with a powerful message about taking hold of our thought patterns in order to experience victory and breakthrough in our lives. Drawing from a variety of scripture and using vivid illustrations, Nadia shows us how vital it is to humble ourselves and persevere in being transformed by the renewing of our minds. She cautions us that the movie of our mind will become the story of our life, isolation can be dangerous, and that some memories have simply got to go. We can be comforted that God gives us purpose and lovingly strengthens our character and shapes us into a vessel that can be used. Our healthy thoughts can lead us into healthy relationships and lives where we can move into everything God has called us to.
