Guest speaker Jadyn Duff in his message titled “Lessons From Friends” shares on the story of the man carried by his friends to Jesus from Luke 5:17-26. From drawing on examples of the crowd, the faith of the friends, and the miracle of Jesus, Jadyn encourages us to be active in our Christianity as we learn to walk in bold belief in a big God.

We all want our lives to count for something. In this message, entitled "A Life Set Apart for God", Pastor Nadia Marychurch acknowledges humanity's desire for purpose. Using the reign of King Josiah in 2 Chronicles 34:1-8 as an example, along with five practical steps, Nadia encourages us to live a life set apart for God.

This week, Pastor Levi Marychurch brings a thought-provoking message on "God Awareness". Referencing scripture from Judges 16:1-22 and Luke 3:22, he encourages us to consider how our lives and choices may look different if we are more aware of God's presence and highlights examples from scripture where people were unaware that the presence of God was no longer with them. Levi leaves us with some concrete strategies to become and stay more God-aware by valuing, protecting, and sharing our relationship with God.

 

 

 

 

To kick off our 2020 year at Liberte City Pastor Levi Marychurch shares a message titled, "It's Time to Dream"! Levi encourages us to dream and have expectations for this upcoming year by relating our lives to the story of Abraham in Genesis 11 & 12. Through Abraham's journey we can be hopeful that whether we are beginning a journey, seeing a dream reborn, or reaching the promised land, God is with us and will help us along the way!

Guest speaker Dorie Noll shares an impactful sermon titled "God's Pursuit" which explores one of the many facets of God...His pursuing heart. Through powerful scriptures, Dorie unpacks this concept to allow us to see God's character more clearly as she explains how He pursues us each personally, and how God pursued humankind in order to reconcile us to Himself.

Pastor Nadia Marychurch wraps up our Christ & Culture series with this impactful teaching centered around 1 Corinthians 9:20-22 and how Jesus impacted the world around Him. Nadia, through personal stories and Scripture, challenges us to live in our culture while still making a difference in the lives of those around us for Christ. People matter, people were Jesus’ passion, and people are our mission today.

This week as we continue our “Christ & Culture” series, Luis Gonzalez shares a message entitled "Jesus as King" based on John 18:33-40. In this passage, Jesus affirms His title as King before Pilate, this bold and controversial statement in its historical and cultural context bears significance in our personal walk with God today. Luis discusses what this statement means for us in modern culture by exploring the narrative of Israel’s relationship with God and the life of Jesus. We are encouraged to take this revelation of the person of Jesus with us into our day to day lives as we honour God in every aspect of our life.  

Join us as we begin a brand new series, “Christ & Culture” at Liberte City! Pastor Levi gets things started with his sermon Out of Place, but Perfectly Positioned, based off of John 17:13-19. Through this teaching he shares some keys about being in culture, while still being set apart in Christ. Have you ever wanted to be a more effective Christian to the world and people around you, but you don’t know how? It can be hard to live in the world and love God, but by breaking it down into some attainable steps, Levi gives insight through his three points: Change Nothing, Change Everything and Change Something.

This Sunday we conclude our series “The Beginners Guide to Prayer” with Pastor Nadia sharing a message titled “The Four Faces of Prayer”.  Pulling from Revelation 4:6-11, Nadia talks about four aspects of prayer and personality, the Eagle, the Lion, the Ox, and the Man. She shares how each has an important and valuable role to play in God’s Kingdom and in our personal prayer lives. Understanding different elements of prayer can help us to know how to pray more effectively and in our own unique way.

In this third installment of The Beginners Guide to Prayer, Allicia Bankuti shares about prayer as a relational tool in her sermon entitled "Two Way Communication."

Allicia uses radio lingo to describe having a conservational prayer life with God, and how we can grow in both listening and talking to God on a regular basis. She also provides some helpful illustrations of how our body, soul and spirit are connected, explaining how pain and sin can hinder us from hearing the voice of our Heavenly Father. We are not meant to simply struggle through prayer, but rather to thrive as we make it a daily part of our lives. God desires a personal relationship with each of us, and prayer is a key to knowing His heart.
